Important Notice regarding Spanish Tax communications
Digital signatures
We are committed to providing you with the guidance and support necessary to ensure that your Spanish property ownership experience is both smooth and compliant with local regulations.
As a recent innovation the Spanish Tax authorities are now imposing an obligation for digital signatures when communicating with them and submitting tax returns. These are personal signatures which are stored on your own laptop/PC and therefore are completely under your control. They are valid for a period of two years.
If you are in a position whereby you have to declare tax in Spain, we strongly recommend you obtain such a signature.
The signature can either be obtained by yourself with a visit to the local tax office or we can provide the service for a fee of £99 plus vat for individuals. Attendance at the relevant tax office will be necessary to prove your ID and we can arrange the appointment.
For Directors of limited companies, the application process includes a Certificate of Good standing, translated and apostilled and submitted to the local tax offices with your ID. We can also provide this service at a cost of £595 plus vat.
We understand that navigating these legal requirements may seem complex, but compliance is crucial to maintaining a secure and legally sound position with your UK Company and Spanish property investments.
If you have any questions or need further information regarding these legal obligations, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support and assist you throughout the process.
